Microsoft is all set to launch the first official version of Windows Azure which is a cloud-based version of windows aimed for servers that run in Microsoft’s datacentres. This will allow developers to write programs that will run off these servers.
Windows Azure was first introduced by Microsoft in October and was made available for limited testing.
Though the pricing has not yet been declared, but according to Microsoft, the product will make money for them as well as be affordable to the customers with lots of special discount offers.
Microsoft also hinted on the fact that the increasing shift to cloud-computing is affecting the company’s sales and also to the customers in an indirect way i.e. prices of future products may be high.
